Aotearoa to fully reopen border from 1 August 2022, how does it impact your visas?

Finally, we are marking an end to the border closure. Immigration New Zealand will phase out the border exceptions for people to come to New Zealand on 31 July, only with exception to some classes of workers. One-off Resident Visa will also close to new applications on 31 July.
Accredited Employer Work Visa
Earlier this year, Immigration New Zealand announced that the new AEWV would replace six work visas to make the process more streamlined. Under the new regime, both employer and employee must pass three gates together to secure the AEWV. The employer must acquire Employer Accreditation and valid Job Tokens to invite the migrant workers to apply for a work visa.
Partnership Work Visa & Dependant Child Visa
Partners and children of workers can apply for visas from 4 July 2022. To note, the partner of worker may apply for an open work visa until 31 December 2022, after which, unless you are a partner of a worker whose job title is included in the Greenlist, you may only be granted a visitor visa.
If your supporting partner’s current work visa is assessed as being paid below the median wage, or lower-skilled, you may be only eligible for a Partnership visitor visa.
Post Study Work Visa
